How is a Flexitank installed?
The installation is a specialized process that begins with the inspection of the dry container to ensure it is fit for purpose. Then, follows the lining of the entire floor and lower walls with thick corrugated protective paper or a PP liner is used to prevent friction-based punctures. Afterwards, the uninflated flexitank is centered at the rear and begins unrolling smoothly toward the nose end, ensuring the excess side flaps are completely symmetrical. Lastly, a bulkhead system is then secured at the door end to stabilize the cargo, distribute pressure, and ensure safe and balanced transport throughout the journey.
Can Flexitanks be used for hazardous materials?
No. Flexitanks are designed exclusively for non-hazardous liquid cargo and must not be used for dangerous or regulated hazardous substances.
What is the capacity of a standard Flexitank?
A standard flexitank can typically carry up to 10,000–26,000 liters, depending on product type, container specification, and operational requirements.
